Track a Typeform Without Code

Typeform shows you the completion rate, question by question. What it doesn't show is what brought the person to the first question — and that's the line that decides your week.

Three steps in Typeform

Everything happens in the "Create" panel, on the endings side — the end screen. That's what redirects, not a hidden setting somewhere else.

To prepare: a Subtraq link marked "lead," and the address of the page where the person should land after responding.

1

In the “Create” panel, click the “+” next to “Endings”.

2

Choose “Redirect to URL”.

3

Paste the Subtraq link into the field provided.

Path checked in Typeform's documentation on August 28, 2026 — the original page. Interfaces change: if what you see no longer matches, the source wins.

Check this before you start

As of August 28, 2026, the end redirect was reserved for the Plus plan and above at Typeform. Plans change: Typeform's pricing page is the authority. If your account doesn't have it, Tally offers the same move and its guide is written.

Your end screen no longer points to a page — it points to a link that counts the response and then goes to that page. The difference is invisible to the person responding, and total in the report.

The ranking you didn't have

The source of every Typeform response

Thirty responses this month: that's a total, and a total doesn't drive decisions. Broken down by source, those are three channels that work and two that cost — and that's something to act on Monday.

If your Typeform qualifies quotes, put the average amount on the link: the report then moves from number of responses to expected revenue.

Objections

"I already have UTMs in my Typeform responses."

UTMs work when they're added by hand and survive the journey. The link is the same object from click to response — and it recognizes channels without any tagging.

"That adds a redirect to my flow."

One, immediate, before the thank-you page. No intermediate screen, no visible wait.

"My forms change all the time."

The connection lives in the link, not the form: rebuilding the Typeform breaks nothing as long as the end screen keeps the same redirect address.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install a Typeform script or pixel?

No. The connection is made entirely in your Typeform's end screen, by pasting a Subtraq link as the redirect address.

Is the redirect available on all Typeform plans?

As of August 28, 2026, it was reserved for the Plus plan and above. Plans evolve: check Typeform's pricing page, linked under the steps in this guide.

Can I pass responses into the redirect URL?

Typeform can add parameters to the redirect address; its documentation gives the syntax. This guide only covers the measurement connection, which doesn't need that.

One link per form, or one link per channel?

One link per place you paste it. That's what lets you tell the story from the email apart, while the form itself stays the same.

What if I prefer a free tool?

Tally does the same move, with its own interface path recorded on the same date.

Connect your Typeform

Measurement doesn't catch up with the past: it starts with the first click on the link. Might as well make it Monday's.
