Track a Tally Form in Three Settings

Twenty responses this week — great. Which ones came from the newsletter, which from the story, which from the ad you're paying for? Tally doesn't know — and it doesn't need to.

The whole guide fits right here

Redirect on completion → URL

sbtq.link/contact

A Subtraq link in place of your thank-you page, and the form response becomes an attributed lead. No script to add, no paid Tally plan needed for this option.

The exact path in the interface

In Tally, 3 steps

Three settings in Tally

The form must be published: the redirect toggle only appears in the settings of a live form.

1

Open the settings of your published form (the “Settings” tab).

2

Turn on the “Redirect on completion” switch.

3

Paste the Subtraq link into the “URL” field.

Path checked in Tally's documentation on August 28, 2026 — the original page. Interfaces change: if what you see no longer matches, the source wins.

What changes

Every response with its source

Without this connection, twenty responses are a pile. With it, they become a ranking — and a ranking means a decision next week: put time back where it already paid off.

The same link works wherever you paste it: video description, bio, email, QR code on a poster.

What the report says

The same week, revisited

Newsletter: 11 responses. Instagram story: 6. Ads: 3, for a budget that could have gone elsewhere.

Channels recognized without any setup

The channel detected automatically

A link clicked from Instagram doesn't need to be manually tagged to be counted as such.

What we call attribution

If you want to go further

Two useful settings

1

One link per place you paste it

The same form can receive ten different links. That's what separates "the newsletter works" from "it's the Tuesday email that works."

2

An amount on the link if the response counts as a sale

A quote form is not a sale; an order form is. In the second case, set the amount and the report speaks in dollars.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a paid Tally plan to redirect after submission?

Post-submission redirect is part of the form settings; the exact path and its availability are given by Tally's documentation, linked under the steps in this guide.

Does the person see the Subtraq link go by?

The pass-through is instant and they land on the page you chose. On a plan that allows custom domains, the link carries your own domain name.

Do I lose my thank-you page?

No: that's what you set as the Subtraq link's destination. The visitor arrives there as before; the measurement happens on the way.

Does this work with a form embedded in my site?

Yes, the setting is the same: it's the form that redirects, whether it's displayed on Tally or embedded in a page.

What if I use Typeform instead of Tally?

The move is identical; only the path through the interface changes — it's written in the Typeform guide, with the same recorded date.

Your form is somewhere else?

Typeform, Calendly, Cal.com, and Systeme.io each have their own guide, recorded in their real interface. The integrations page brings them all together.
