Track Cal.com bookings without a pixel
Choosing Cal.com usually means choosing not to depend on a closed tool. Measuring where your appointments come from shouldn't force you to step backward — and it doesn't.
In Cal.com, 3 steps
One setting in 'Advanced'
Like Calendly, it lives in each event type: that's what lets you read a discovery call and a follow-up appointment separately.
To prepare: a Subtraq link tagged “prospect”, and the URL where guests should land after booking.
Open the event type concerned, then the “Advanced” tab.
Turn on “Redirect on booking”.
Paste the Subtraq link into the field that appears below, then “Save” at the top right.
Path checked in Cal.com's documentation on August 28, 2026 — the original page. Interfaces change: if what you see no longer matches, the source wins.
What the link connects
01
The click
Someone opens your booking page from a post, an email, a signature.
02
The booking
Cal.com confirms, redirects through your link, and the appointment is attributed to that click.
03
The project
If you put a value on the link, the report counts revenue instead of appointments.
What it doesn't require
No code, even when self-hosted
The connection comes down to a redirect field: it works the same way on hosted Cal.com and on an instance you run yourself, with nothing else to install.
That's also what makes it reversible: removing the link from the field is all it takes to go back to before, with no cleanup.
What Subtraq receives
A pass on a link, its date, and the recognized channel. No script on your end, no reading of your calendar, no access to your Cal.com account.
Still choosing between the two?
The Calendly guide describes the same move in its own interface. Nothing changes on the Subtraq side: same link, same report, same account.
The Calendly guideFrequently asked questions
Does it work on a self-hosted Cal.com instance?
Yes: the setting used is the post-booking redirect, built into the interface. Nothing depends on hosting.
Do I need to connect Subtraq to my Cal.com account?
No. No connection, no permission to grant: you paste a link into a field, and that's the full setup.
Do I keep my confirmation page?
Yes — it becomes the destination of the Subtraq link. Guests arrive there as before.
How many links should I create?
One for each place where you share your booking page. An event type can carry just one if you don't need that level of detail.
The path has changed since the recorded version — what should I do?
Cal.com's documentation, linked under the steps, is authoritative. Let us know: the guides are dated to be corrected, not to age.
