Tracking a Brevo Campaign Through to the Sale

A 42% open rate is good news you can't do anything with. What you can decide is: did this email produce customers — and which ones?

What needs to be connected

Two moments to measure

The first needs no setup: just paste the right link. The second is a one-time setting in your landing page form.

1

The outbound — the email link

In your campaign button, put a Subtraq link instead of the final URL. Nothing to activate: it's a URL, you paste it where you used to paste the other one.

2

The landing — the landing page form

If your campaign leads to a Brevo landing page with a form, set its redirect to a Subtraq link: the sign-up becomes a conversion attributed to the campaign.

3

One link per send, not one for all

Tuesday's email and Thursday's follow-up deserve two separate links. That's what separates “the newsletter works” from “the follow-up is what sells.”

What attribution means

A campaign report, re-read — example

1,240 clicks, 18% open rate

1,240 clicks, and 9 sales

The first number measures a send. The second measures a result — and it's the only one that tells you whether to run this campaign again next month.

The report your client receives

In Brevo, 3 steps

Setting the form redirect

Brevo already plans to send your contacts somewhere after they sign up. We're just setting that link.

Prepare in advance: a Subtraq link marked as “lead” (or “sale” with its amount), and the URL of the thank-you page you want to keep.

1

In the landing page editor, click your form to open its settings.

2

Under “Redirect Options”, open “Form redirect action” and choose “Link to a URL”.

3

Paste the Subtraq link into the field, then save the page.

Path checked in Brevo's documentation on September 5, 2026 — the original page. Interfaces change: if what you see no longer matches, the source wins.

Why this doesn't break anything

Brevo counts opens. We count sales.

Brevo stays in charge of the send, the lists, and the consent. This guide doesn't add another tool to the chain: it adds one piece of information that was missing at the end — where what was earned came from.

What is collected — and what isn't

What doesn't change

Your contacts, your lists

The sign-up is still recorded in Brevo, in the list you chose. The Subtraq link is passed through in transit — it doesn't replace the form, the double opt-in, or the landing page.

Three objections

“Brevo already gives me clicks per link.”

It gives you who clicked. It doesn't know what happened after — the purchase, the meeting, the signed quote. That's the half the link fills in.

“I’ll have to create a new link for every send.”

Yes — and that's the point: without a separate link per send, every email collapses into one “newsletter” row that tells you nothing.

“My recipients will see an unknown URL.”

The link can carry your own domain — link.yourbrand.com/offer instead of ours. That also protects the sender reputation of your emails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything in Brevo?

No. No extension, no account connection: paste a link in your email button, and optionally a second one in the redirect setting of your landing page form.

Does this work with an SMS campaign?

The principle is the same — a short link in the message — but this guide only covers the path recorded for landing pages. For SMS, only the link changes, not the mechanics.

One link per campaign or one per button?

One per spot you want to measure. If your email has two buttons to the same page, two links will tell you which one is doing the work.

What if my landing page isn't on Brevo?

The email can lead anywhere: the Subtraq link works no matter what the destination page is. Only the “conversion” part needs a redirect field, which most form tools already have.

Will my Brevo numbers and Subtraq numbers match?

Not exactly — and that's normal: they don't count the same thing. Brevo counts clicks in an email; Subtraq counts link visits and then confirmed conversions.

Connect your next Brevo campaign

Measurement starts at the first click on the link — it can't catch up on yesterday's sends. The next email is the right moment.
