Human click
A human click is a visit to a link that comes from a person and not from an automated program. It is the only kind of click that can lead to a sale, and therefore the only one that deserves a place in a total you show a client.
Ce qui s’est réellement passé, humains d’un côté, robots de l’autre. The forty terms of the trade
What it is for
It makes figures comparable from one week to the next. A link published on a social network is visited by dozens of programs within minutes — previews, antivirus, indexers — and their number varies with no relation to your publishing. Separating the two is the first condition for the curve to mean anything.
How it is told apart
You read how the visit happened: the request method, and the presence and shape of the software's identification. A program has no reason to hide, and most announce themselves. It is imperfect by nature, and an honest system says so instead of promising accuracy.
The classic mistake
Comparing an unfiltered click total with a filtered one, between two tools or between two months. The gap then has nothing to do with your work: it is a change in counting rule.
Two visits, two values
Robot
Visits the link. Reads nothing, buys nothing, comes back tomorrow.
Human
Visits the link. Can become a lead, then a sale.
A total that adds them together no longer measures your publishing: it measures the noise of the internet.
What Subtraq does with it
By default, only human clicks are counted. A robot's click never credits a sale, in any of the three attribution models — the condition is applied before any split.

The real question is not how many clicks, but which ones count. The report separates humans from robots, visits from people, and always says what it does not know.
